It's another 17 more days to 25 Jan 2007.
I'm so sick of my company. I have nowhere to vent but my blog. I know it's not right and we were reminded not to do so but I don't care. Because I'm bitching about things that are not gonna affect my grades. So who cares if you read. I don't even think anyone of you have the time to read.
Well, for the next 3 weeks, I'm helping the finance department. I seriously don't understand why people study Accountancy and wish to be an Accountant/ Finance assistant in future. Passion? Considering the job scope, I don't think it's a good choice. It's the most boring job I've ever done in my whole life. I think the finance department in my company cannot survive without interns or temp staffs. They just have so much "SAI KANG" to do and it's never-ending.
Another thing. I don't understand why they want me to complete the Courier entries by today when it's gonna be checked ONLY tml and I will edit it again after checking.
Furthermore, the details are not completed. How am I suppose to key everything in. Wa piang! I can just do it tml when all the details are in and you check it. I have to edit it again eventually. SO WHAT'S THE BIG DIFFERENCE! Not as if the entries have to be submitted today. Not as if you are gonna check it today. I don't understand them at all.
I really thank God that I didn't choose Accountancy 3 years ago or I will be serving internship in the finance department. THANK GOD I CHOOSE MEDIA! I even think Engineering is more fun and interesting than Accountancy.
But I do admire my finance colleagues. They can really work from 9am - 10pm, looking at numbers. They don't surf Facebook or play games at the same time. Only a handful of them uses MSN. They don't listen to music. They don't talk much. 99% of the time they talk is about work. It's always so quiet. I feel like an idiot if I talk.
In Account Servicing (my actual department) is totally different from them. I don't know how to put into words but it's just different. I don't care anyway.
Pay me $2000/month I also won't work for Finance, I swear! Account servicing, I definitely will!
My Conclusion: Finance department is never a place for me. I'll endure for my diploma. I promise. If it was a temp job, I would have quit long ago.
