Have this sentence "to be taken care of" ever scroll through my mind? Hoping one day someone will take care of me and I don't have to work so hard, so simply just be there to care for me?
I guess I will never expect to be taken care of. I've learnt to be totally independent since 14 years old, not to rely on anyone. While waiting for someone to take care of me, I might as well learn to take care of myself by myself. Sometimes the higher you expect, the higher disappointment you get. So, I really don't expect and never thought of being taken care of.
No matter how tired life can be, how stressful life can be, we all got to be independent. It's the 21st century, so guys and girls are equal. I wanna be a very strong and independent girl who can walk through all the obstacles in life. I believe from there, I will be a stronger girl than I am now. =)
And I know, I will never be alone. God will always be there for me. love love! Let me share with you something.
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
